About

Hi, I’m Nina— I’m a shepherdess & artist, trying to make little things for people I love and not get too overwhelmed by life. Celebrating the local & handmade over the corporate & homogenized.

My art practice has become a part of my daily life, whether that is processing wool, spinning, felting, journaling or drawing. I work in many mediums and try not to restrict myself or specialize in one area. I spend a lot of my time farming- oyster farming in the summer months, pruning & harvesting grapes in the fall and winter. Like my farm work, my creative projects tend to ebb and flow with the seasons.

Currently based in Maine, I have lived, worked and studied in Southern California, Texas, France, and New England. I hold a BA in Ecology from Soka University of America and have studied Art History at l’Université Grenoble Alpes in Grenoble, France.

Now you can most likely find me spinning and knitting with my sheep on the Maine coast.
